AGM and governance

How we’re run as a registered Scottish charity.

The PTDSA is a registered Scottish charity, run by a volunteer board. We hold an AGM each year - open to all members, in person and online.

Our purposes

The association’s purposes are:

  1. The relief of those in need.
  2. The promotion of equality and diversity.

In furtherance of these purposes, the association aims:

  1. To represent and advocate on behalf of any Partick Thistle supporter who identifies as having a disability of any kind. This includes the carers, family, and friends of the disabled supporter where appropriate.
  2. To seek to act as representatives of those disabled supporters in discussions with the Club, any outside bodies whether statutory or voluntary, and to engage with any similarly minded organisations nationally or locally.
  3. To actively seek to promote innovative methods of allowing all disabled supporters an active voice with regard to existing and developing social media platforms, and to aim to be a leader in the field of social media and fan engagement.
  4. To play a full and active part in the ‘Firhill for all’ initiative and strategy.
  5. At all times to bear in mind its obligations and responsibilities to treat its members and those it encounters with the required duty of care and attention.

Annual General Meeting

At the AGM, members hear from the board, vote on resolutions, and ask questions. Minutes go out by email after each meeting - if you haven’t had them, get in touch.
